Vomiting
Vomiting is the defensive mechanism of digestive system. Vomiting is a very common symptom and can be caused by a wide range of factors.
Cause
The common cause of vomiting is pain, pregnancy or infection. Other causes are motion sickness, emotional stress, indigestion, food poisoning, viruses, exposure to chemical toxins, hernia, constipation, gall stone, renal stone, migraine, etc. In children severe cough, high fever, over eating, are common.
Management
Use of oral rehydrating solution will help to overcome loss of electrolytes. Drinking a large amount of clear fluids small in quantity but frequently also helps to remain hydrated. Solid foods of any kind until vomiting stops are generally advised. Proper rest is important. Using medications upseting stomach, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids on doctor’s advice. Avoid any foods that have strong flavors, are very sweet, or are greasy or fried. Drink a cup of ginger tea.

Homoeopathic medicines like Arsenic album, Bismuthum subnitricum, Capsicum annum, Carbo vegetabilis, Ferrum metallicum, Hydrastis canadensis, Ipecacuanha Iris versicolor, Nux vomica, Natrum phosphoricum, Natrum sulphuricum, Phosphorus, Robinia, etc. are frequently prescribed by homoeopathic physician.
