INTRODUCTION

The new born infants who are still being breast-fed or are fed with artificial milk, after food intake often manifest abdominal spasmodic pains, specially during the first three months. 

In majority of the cases, they are gaseous abdominal colics which lead the child to crying and to contract his abdominal and leg muscles. In some cases, it is due to flatulence and painful distention, irritability, acidity etc. 

Colikind^TM’s regulatory action facilitates digestion. It has an anti-spasmodic effect on the gastro-intestinal system and assures in that way a fast improvement. If given before food it prevents the symptoms from occuring and facilitates the absorption of food.

Proven indications of the individual ingredients in the sphere of claimed action : 

Argentum nitricum : Child is fond of sugar, retarded gastric pain and diarrhoea results from eating. Stool is watery, noisy, flatulent, green with mucus or turning green after remaining on diaper. Nausea and vomiting of glairy mucous are covered by this drug. 

Chamomilla: Child is irritable, frightful, impatient, hyper-sensitive, wants this or that and becomes angry when refused or when offered. Stool hot, green, watery, corroding and very offensive like rotten egg. One cheek red and hot, the other pale and cold. Distension and flatulent colic which is improved by warmth. Suits well in neuropathic or psychopathic children. 

Cinchona officinalis: It covers flatulent colic, tympanitic abdomen, vomiting, slow digestion, stool frothy, yellow and painless. 

Cuprum aceticum : It covers violent spasmodic pains in stomach and abdomen, vomiting, diarrhoea, slimy brown stool and violent tenesmus.

Foeniculum vulgare : It allays griping pain and is carminative. It helps digestion, lowers flatulence and colic. 

Lycopodium clavatum:Meteoritic tenseness, lack of digestive power, often with functional disturbance of liver. Child weeps all day. Excessive accumulation of flatulence; abdomen is bloated, full with rolling of flatulence. Appetite good, eats more than the average, but does not put on weight. 

Momordica balsamina:Distension and rubbing in splenic flexure of colon. Griping, colicky pains, starting from the back, spreading over whole abdomen are covered by this drug. 

Tilia Europaea: It covers bloated abdomen, pain around navel, flatulence, muscular pain and urticaria. 

Dosage : Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, in acute cases 2-5 globules every half hour. Once the symptoms are reduced, 3 globules 3 times a day until the symptoms disappear (to be given 15 minutes before food intake). If complaints are not relieved, consult a specialist.
