Guatteria gaumeri 1x

Guatteria gaumeri is a 10 to 15 m tall tree, with a blackish coloured bark. A homoeopathic mother tincture is prepared from dried bark of the plant. It is covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States.

Guatteria gaumeri acts on the liver and gallbladder, kidney and pancreas. It has affinity to improve digestive complaints with liver and biliary manifestation. It is one of the frequently used homoeopathic remedy for liver complaints. It is reported for gallstone.

Its anti hypercholesterolemic effect was reported way back in 1982. Studies have found that this is primarily due to its main component Alpha-asarone by decreasing the secretion of lipids. It is also found to be non-toxic. .,,A clinical study has shown decrease in TC, LDL, VLDL, and increase in HDL.

Indications: Liver malfunction, Hyperlipidaemia, etc.

Schwabe’s Guatteria gaumeri 1X can be used alone or as a supplement to other medicines.
