Taxus baccata MT

Taxus baccata MT is used in pustular diseases of the skin and night-sweats. It is also used in gout and chronic rheumatism. The leaves and fruits of the plant act as emmenagogue, sedative and antiseptic. Leaves are also used in asthma, bronchitis, hiccough, for indigestion and epilepsy, as an aphrodisiac. Research reports taxol to inhibit cell division (as such extensively used for cancer). Its ingredient paclitaxel is significantly active against ovarian cancer, breast cancer, small and non-small cell lung cancer.
