Plantago major MT

Plantago major MT is used in case of sharp pain in eyes, reflex from decayed teeth or inflammation of middle ear; eyeball very tender to touch, pain plays between teeth and ears. Depression and insomnia of chronic nicotinism. The seeds act as tonic, stimulant and is a useful remedy for dysentery. Leaves and roots are astringent and also used in fever. The leaves are applied to bruises. Though it is known for its use in toothache realted problems, it is very recently proved for its wound healing effects on oral epithelial cells on scientific parameters.
