Narcissus pseudo narcissus MT

Narcissus pseudo narcissus MT is a remedy for cough and bronchitis. It is also used in cases of coryza, frontal headache, and convulsive stages of whooping cough. It has action on skin erythema of papular, vesicular pustular types aggravating in wet weather. Its phytoconstituent galanthamine is found to reduce central cholinergic neurotransmission in Alzheimer's disease by specifically and reversibly inhibiting the acetylcholinesterase enzyme. Thus it is an approved treatment for Alzheimer’s disease in USA, Europe and other countries. Hence t is also considered as therapy for dementia.
