Justicia adhatoda MT

Justicia adhatoda MT is useful for curing many catarrhal conditions of the respiratory system. It is a great expectorant and soothes teasing cough in coryza, pneumonea, bronchitis, phthisis and clears the lungs. It is also beneficial in the first stage of phthisis and all kinds of pulmonary diseases with discharge of blood in the phlegm. It is very effective in whooping cough of children with gagging after coughing, stiffness of body, face cyanotic and constipation. Recent study has shown that the methanolic extract of this drugs was effective against S. Typhimurium, thus confirming its anti-bacterial effect.
