Geum urbanum MT

In action, it is similar to Geum rivale. It is indicated in lower attenuation as astringent, antiseptic in diarrhoea and dysentery. In high potencies, it is used for abdomen jerking pain, felt deep in the abdomen at the end of urethra and certain affections of the bladder with pain in the penis. It is also indicated in cases of imperfect digestion and assimilation. It has been used in irritable bowel syndrome. It has mild quinine-type of action and lowers fever. Looking in totality it may prove to be a good drug for infective diarrhoea, dysentery and Urinary Tract Infections (UTI). Modern herbalists use it to treat heart disease, bad breath, mouth ulcer, and to prevent colic.
