Eupatorium purpurium MT

Eupatorium purpurium MT is used in albuminuria, diabetes, strangury, and irritable bladder. Enlarged prostates are a special field for this remedy. It is an excellent remedy in renal dropsy. It is also used in cases of impotency and sterility. In phyto-therapy, it is known to prevent formation of kidney and bladder stones, may diminish existing stones; of use in rheumatism and gout. Hale mentions that infertility and uterine atony in the female have been cured. It is similar in action to Cimicifuga racemosa and Helonias here. Cystitis in pregnant women from riding over rough roads is also reported.
