There are reports of its use in albuminuria, specially due to phytochemical Eunonymin. It has been used successfully in cases of engorgement of liver, biliousness, headache, coated tongue, bad taste, constipation, and passive constipation with haemorrhoids. It is also used in severe pain in back like lumbago. It is used in gastric derangements with albuminuria. It is also indicated in cases of cutting pains in molar bones, or tongue, or penis up to bladder. Research reports cover its action as diuretic, antibilious, expectorant and laxative.
