Cetraria islandica MT

Cetraria islandica MT is used in homoeopathy for atrophy, catarrh, diarrhoea, phthisis, and scrofulous emaciation. It is also used for scurvy and ulcers. In phyto-therapy, it is used for digestive problems such as acidity, indigestion, counter catarrh, calming paroxysmal cough (specially useful in elderly), irritable bowel syndrome and anthelmintic. In view of recent research, it could prove useful for certain digestive infections. In herbal medicine, it has been used in decoction and as a food and has been found curative empirically in the diseases mentioned above.
