A proving of tincture produced unpleasant feeling at stomach with belching, heartburn, spitting up of food, and gone feeling at pit of stomach lasting for hours which was partially relieved by eating. It is useful in obstinate retention of urine, throbbing headaches and heartburn. It also covers swelling of throat, face, and hands. Rheumatic pain in muscles of neck and also of sacrum. Indicated in dysmenorrhoea with sharp, short pains, better flexing legs. This remedy is also in service of nervous irritation and fidgets, when patient cannot sleep due to thinking of various subjects. There is a constriction under the sternum with drawing feeling through the back. An essential oil from this plant has shown to have potential as a natural antioxidant and thus inhibit unwanted oxidation process.
