Allium sativum MT

Allium sativum MT is a stimulant, diuretic and expectorant, its medicinal effect being due to the absorption of the volatile oil. It is useful in catarrhal affection of the lungs, when there is constant rattling of mucus in the bronchial tubes; also in cases of haemoptysis, when the garlic should be eaten in quantities of a drachm or more during the day. Acts directly on intestinal mucous membrane increasing peristalsis. Colitis, with pathological flora. Has vaso-dilatory properties. Arterial hypotension begins usually in 30 to 45 minutes after twenty to forty drop doses of the tincture. Adapted to fleshy subjects with dyspepsia and catarrhal affections. High livers. Patients who eat a great deal more, especially meat, than they drink. Cough and expectoration diminishes, temperature becomes normal, weight is gained, and sleep becomes regular.

What is Allium Sativum MT?

Allium Sativum MT is prepared from garlic. It has a marked action on the blood circulation and on the digestive system of the body. It helps in cases of hypertension and indigestion that causes much flatulence and eructation. It also has anti catarrhal properties making it a good remedy in cases of allergies and other respiratory troubles.

What are uses/benefits of Allium Sativum MT?

It is one of the frequently used remedies by homoeopaths in cases of flatulence and excessive gas formation. There is marked indigestion and a sense of rotting of food which seems to just lie in the stomach for a long period of time. It is also helpful in cases of respiratory troubles and hence useful in coughs, colds, sinusitis, bronchitis and allergies. It has a marked action on the intestinal flora and it helps in cleansing the system.

How to use Allium Sativum MT?

Unless otherwise prescribed, it is to be taken as 10-20 drops in half a cup of normal water 2-3 times daily till symptoms disappear.
