Acidum nitricum MT is covered by both Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India and German Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia. It was proved by Hahnemann. Suitable for thin people of rigid fibre, with dark complexion, dark hair and eyes, who suffer from chronic diseases, and who take cold easily. Useful for fissures, with proctalgia, may be accompanied by prolapsus ani, a discharge of blood, or a sensation as though a sharp stick were being pressed into the anus. It is of service in imperfect hearing, but they can hear better when riding in a carriage or train. Sometimes there is an extreme sensitiveness to noise. In case of otorrhoea, the discharge is very offensive, and there are pains of a stitching character. Blisters and ulcers in mouth, tongue, genitals; bleed easily. Useful in intermittent fever.
