Abrotanum CH

It is a very useful remedy in loss of weight and emaciation, especially of lower extremities, joint pains, diarrhea, collection of fluids in various organs and body cavities from exudations, lung infections and weakness after exhausting fevers.

Mind: Mind very cross, irritable, anxious and depressed especially in children.

Face: Pale, cold, dry with blue rings around the eyes. Pimples and bumps in skin filled with pus and dead skin cells with emaciation. Bleeding from nose and red blood filled eruptions on face.

Stomach: Good appetite with slimy taste in the mouth with emaciation. Stool with undigested food and cutting, gnawing pain in stomach which gets worse at night. Stomach feels light as if floating in water. Increased appetite with indigestion and vomiting of large quantities of offensive fluid.

Abdomen: Distension of abdomen with hard lumps. Alternate diarrhea and constipation. Haemorrhoids with frequent urging, and bloody stools following rheumatic pains. Worm infestations especially round worms with oozing from umbilicus. Sensation as if bowels were sinking down.

Respiratory: Raw feeling of the chest with difficult respiration and dry cough following diarrhea.

Back: Weakness of the neck with difficulty to hold the head up. Pain in the back, especially lumbar region extending to the spermatic cord and pain in the sacrum, with haemorrhoids.

Extremities: Pain in the shoulders, arms, wrists, and ankles with stiffness and lameness of joints. Sensation of pricking and coldness in fingers and feet. Great emaciation of lower extremities.

Skin: Skin becomes purplish due to suppressed eruptions. Skin pale, flabby and loose with folds and falling out of hair. Itching chilblains.

Modalities: Worse from cold air and better from motion.

Dosage: Please note that the dosage of single homoeopathic medicines varies from drug to drug depending upon the condition, age, sensitivity and other things. In some cases they are given as regular doses as 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day whereas in other cases they are given only once in a week, month or even in a longer period.
